ABOUT LETTERFINLAY LODGE HOTEL
Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel, set within its own grounds, is located on the A82 approximately 7 miles north of Spean Bridge and just 17 miles from Fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK, the proposed Lochaber Geopark and, of course, home to Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. The hotel is ideally situated as a base for touring the Western Highlands and Islands, Lochaber, Inverness to the North and Aviemore and the Cairngorms to the East.
The hotel is well-suited to cater for residents and non-residents alike, offering Bar Meals, Afternoon Tea and with access from the water for users of the Caledonian Canal.
Our newly refurbished Sun Lounge and sun-deck, overlook Loch Lochy and the Glengarry Mountains and offer the perfect vantage point from which to watch the world pass you by. Located in the Great Glen, a natural geological fault running from Fort William in the West to Inverness in the East, the hotel affords stunning scenery and sits alongside the route for the Caledonian Canal, built by Thomas Telford and incorporates Loch Ness, Loch Oich and of course Loch Lochy. In the summer of 2007 we will also be opening our new marina for the boating fraternity.
Other facilities include our Reading Room – somewhere to relax and unwind, the Cocktail Bar - offering your reward for the Munro you bagged or the trail you completed, the Conservatory Breakfast Room and of course the lovely private gardens for an evening or afternoon stroll. For our residents, we can also offer fly fishing or bait fishing from the shoreline outside the hotel, or we have two fully equiped boats that can offer trawling for large brown trout and ferox (large trout catch and release where possible).
All of our Guest Rooms offer colour LCD television and integrated DVD players, Telephone, Tea and Coffee making facilities and private bath/shower rooms.
Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel, with it’s quiet, loch-side location is truly the place to return to after a long and busy day touring through the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
